We are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees. Reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance forms an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods.
It is our priority to encourage our customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same.
Our policy is to:
- Support and operate in compliance with or exceed the requirements of current environmental legislation and codes of practice and we will endeavor to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all that we do;
- Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into all of our decision making and activities;
- Minimise waste through re-use and recycling as much as possible;
- Purchasing recycled, recyclable or re-furbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable;
- As far as possible purchase and use environmentally responsible products and services accordingly that do the least damage to the environment and encourage others to do the same;
- Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we Intend to introduce in advance;
- Promote environmental awareness among our employees – ensure that all employees understand our environmental policy and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible manner;
- Train, educate and inform our employees about environmental issues that may affect their work;
- Communicate our environmental commitment to clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it;
- Address complaints about any breach of our Environmental Policy promptly and to the satisfaction of all concerned;
- Continually improve our environmental performance, periodically reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities in consultation with staff, associates and customers;
- Promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout the organisation including water, electricity, raw materials and other resources, particularly those that are non-renewable;
- Avoid unnecessary use of hazardous materials and products, seek substitutions when feasible, and take all reasonable steps to protect human health and the environment when such materials must be used, stored and disposed of.
