Mary Kelly Joins Celerity To Further strengthen Southern Sales Team
We are delighted to announce that Mary Kelly will be joining Celerity as of the 18th January and will be based from the Ascot Office.
Mary will be joining us on secondment from IBM and will be the second addition to our southern territory sales team, focusing on new business mainly in Central London and the South East of England.
Mary has spent the last 7 years in IBM working for Software Group, initially
as a Data Rep for Local Government and Education and then in FSS as a Content
Management Specialist. Over the past two and a half years Mary has worked
in the Channel, originally in Content Management and more recently with
Lotus Brand.
With the appointment of both Mary Kelly and Mark Hunt, Celerity are confident
that we will continue to see a significant sales growth in this territory
and further demonstrates our commitment to strengthening Celerity's presence
in the South.
Mark Hunt Joins Celerity Sales Team In The South
We are pleased to announce that Mark Hunt will be joining Celerity in January based from our Ascot Office.
Mark will be working in territory sales focusing on new business mainly
in the South East of England. The territory will cover a corridor of South
Wales and Bristol down to Plymouth and the South East of England. Mark has
been selling for several years in the industry, previously working at IBM
as an AIX Power salesman in the North of England on a general business territory
and also as the eSM/CSM for HSBC.
Mark is joining us after what has been a very successful year for Celerity
and we are delighted that he will be part of our growing team in taking
the business forward in 2010.

Celerity achieves IBM XIV System Storage Accreditation
Celerity is delighted to announce that we are now accredited to sell XIV - IBM’s next-generation high-end Storage System.
XIV is the industry’s first single-architecture storage system providing the highest level of performance, reliability and features, along with management simplicity and exceptional non-disruptive scalability. From partial to full rack configurations (27TB to 79TB usable), XIV meets an organisation’s growing storage capacity demands, as and when they are needed.
There are currently only a small number of approved XIV Business Partners in the UK, and Celerity can now add XIV to its portfolio of IBM storage offerings.

Celerity hosts a successful day in Inverness for public sector organisations looking to virtualise their IT environment.
Celerity
played host to a spectrum of Scottish Public Sector organisations at the
Drumossie Hotel in Inverness. The event was run in conjunction with IBM,
VMware and Glasgow-based VMware consultancy Taupo Consulting; to demonstrate
to clients the benefits of using Virtualisation technologies to consolidate
server, storage, application and network environments.
The event was very well received on the day, presenting to clients the
latest in VMware technology including VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
and SRM (Site Recovery Manager) – areas that appear to be high on
many organisation’s IT agendas.

was keen to demonstrate the effectiveness of combining this powerful virtualisation

IBM running SAP on POWER6-based servers Outshines
Competition - 33% Savings
IBM has announced its latest SAP performance results on POWER6-based servers,
demonstrating cost savings of up to 33% as opposed to competitors; HP, Sun
Fujitsu and Hitachi servers using commodity Intel x86 chips in a SAP®
solution-based environment.
A new report from International Technology Group (ITG) reveals that by combining IBM Power Systems with virtualisation technology, reliability, availability and energy efficiency features, this can help clients save between 25 and 33 percent on operating costs.
The IBM result showcases the performance of SAP applications and DB2 V 9.5 database software running on the AIX 6.1 operating system in a Power 550 two-tier environment.

Healthcare Innovation of the Year Award at Frost & Sullivan's 'Excellence
in Healthcare Awards Banquet' on Thursday 19 March at ZSL London Zoo, London.
This prestigious award was in recognition of IBM’s innovation for
its Healthcare Image and Information Grid (HIIG) and Grid Medical Archive
Solution (GMAS). Celerity and IBM successfully partnered to architect the
worlds first GMAS solution on IBM Blade technology for a large Public Sector
organisation.
In a time of economic uncertainty, these awards are a testament to the Healthcare
industry's continued success and growth, with companies awarded across various
disciplines including Product Innovation, Green Excellence, Product Quality,
Research Excellence and Company of the Year.

NEW APPOINTMENT: Celerity (Scotland) Ltd Appoints New Sales Executive.
Celerity is delighted to welcome Fiona Dougan the latest member to join Celerity (Scotland) Ltd. Fiona will be based from Celerity’s office in Glasgow and brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in Public Sector within the IT industry for over 10 years. Fiona will be managing existing Celerity accounts and developing Celerity’s growing Scottish business.

Celerity would like to welcome Darren Ashley the latest addition to our expanding Northern Sales Team. Darren joins us having worked in the distribution arena for four years with experience specifically around IBM’s System X brand.
