On Saturday 15th June, a carefully selected team of elite athletes took part in a huge sporting event watched by millions – Canada took on New Zealand in the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Coincidentally it was also this same day that Celerity sent a team of 13 employees to take part in the Newcastle Obstacle Rush, a 5km obstacle course where participants are doused in paint and glitter at each challenge.
5 KM / 3.1 MILES
8 COLOUR STATIONS
20 MUSIC ZONES
.......lots & lots & lots of paint!
Celerity is raising funds for the ‘Share Your Lunch’ campaign in partnership with Flintshire County Council and Can Cook, a project that aims to provide healthy meals to children in Flintshire during the summer break who may not receive them otherwise. It’s a sad state that currently we are still seeing citizen’s and children living in food poverty. That’s why Celerity agreed to raise funds for this great cause, setting a target of £250, which we surpassed having currently raised £270 at time of writing.
To everyone who took part in the Colour Obstacle Rush and to everyone who kindly donated to the Share Your Lunch campaign. The funding is going to help a great cause and there is still time to donate if you would like to - just visit our funding page at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/celerity-colour-obstacle-rush-2019 We will be accepting donations until 7th July 2019 and if you would like to learn more about the Share Your Lunch campaign you can visit their site at http://www.cancook.co.uk/share-your-lunch/
Until next time...
