Celerity Expands New Business Development Team

Posted by David Taylor on 21-Nov-2019 15:53:54

Celerity is happy to announce that we added two new starters  to the new business development team. We're joined by Sean Stuart, New Business Account Manager and Mark Prescott, New Business Development.

We got to know our two new starters in a recent interview to see what  motivates them along with some other interesting facts:

Sean Stuart Joins Celerity Limited

Q. Describe your career to date in one sentence.

Relatively short but my IT sales career is going much better than my initial one did – rock star, or probably more appropriate, wannabe rock star!

Q. What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Weekdays – coffee.

Weekends – empty cup of coffee (everybody has breakfast in bed on a weekend, right?)

Q. What are you hoping to bring to Celerity in your new role?

POs I’m hoping… that and enthusiasm!

Q. What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

Professional is probably qualifying for every sales incentive at my last job – Miami, Barbados, Amsterdam and a few other places. Clean sweep of never missing one in my time there. That was pretty good.

Q. What three words would you use to describe your role?

Sell. Sell (that should get me some brownie points)

Q. If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

Elon Musk, what a human!

Q. Given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

This might be stretching this one but what the hell, Freddie Mercury on the day of Live Aid!

Q. What’s your favourite line from a film?

This was a tough one but I’ve gone with Liam Neeson Taken monologue:

"But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

Q. What is your guilty pleasure?

Musicals

Mark Prescott Joins Celerity Limited

Q. Describe your career to date in one sentence.

A roller coaster that’s starting to go up.

Q. What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Self motivation to be successful, do my mum and dad proud and to have a cuddle with my dogs.

Q. What are you hoping to bring to Celerity in your new role?

I am young so hopefully I will bring a spark of new methodologies and ideas to the business.

Q. What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

Professionally getting into IBM, as I was doubted a lot in school. I worked in a warehouse and some how out of 12,000 applicants for my role, me and 4 others were chosen to be taken on at IBM in sales.

Q. What three words would you use to describe your role?

Exciting, energetic and tough.

Q. If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

Tyler Durden from fight club, you’d have a story to last a lifetime being mentored by him even though he isn’t real…

Q. What’s your most memorable facepalm moment?

Mistaking a stranger from behind for my girlfriend who I managed to greet with a kiss... my girlfriend was stood behind me…

Q. Given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Jagielka on the day he scored the winning penalty for Everton vs Man United in a semi final.

Q. What’s your favourite line from a film?

You’re gonna need a bigger boat – Jaws

Q. What is your guilty pleasure?

Probably listening to new wave rap. I can’t really relate to the lyrics haha, but nobody else I know seems to listen to it.

Some interesting answers from our two new starters who seem ready and hungry to develop new business for Celerity. We look forward to seeing you both succeed in our ever-growing business.

Welcome to Celerity!
