Following a very successful year in 2016, Celerity move in to 2017 with the ambition for further growth, welcoming three new recruits on board our expanding team!
Celerity is delighted to announce that Charlotte Lay has joined us as Office Administrator and Sales Support, based at our head office in Preston.
Charlotte spent three years training to be an accountant and joins us with the hope of taking her career in a new direction, as she looks forward to a more varied role.
“This is a bit of a change for me as Office Administrator,” commented Charlotte, “however, I’m ready for a new challenge and see this position as the perfect role to help me achieve my goals, I’m also looking forward to doing something different in the office every day from the variety of responsibilities this role will undoubtedly bring.”
Charlotte will take responsibility for managing all of the administrative duties for the company, along with offering support to our internal sales team. “I am very pleased to welcome Charlotte to Celerity and I am looking forward to her taking on new responsibilities and bringing her experience to the internal team,” added Jane Evans, Internal Support.
Danielle Sephton has joined the Northumberland based Marketing Department as Marketing Assistant.
“I’m very excited to have landed such a great opportunity as Celerity’s first Marketing Assistant. Coming straight from university I can’t wait to experience working in industry every day and try and bring something new to the company,” commented Danielle.
Having recently completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media and Journalism at Northumbria University, achieving First Class Honours, Danielle is eager to kick start a career in Marketing. With an aptitude for writing along with a keen interest in social and digital media, she is excited to have joined the Marketing team in this transitional period as we look to develop new and effective routes to market!
“Danielle’s knowledge of online media will enable Celerity’s Marketing Department to develop a new approach to inbound marketing styles. The primary objective is generating new business opportunities for our expanding sales team, creating brand awareness and positioning Celerity as one of the leading technology influences in the industry,” added Tracy Ridgley, Celerity’s Marketing Manager. “This is an exciting and active role to support our current marketing team and will strengthen our communication and marketing objectives, we are delighted to have Danielle on board.
Tim Martin also joins us here at Celerity as Business Development Manager, bringing an abundance of experience on board our expanding team.
Born in Wales, Tim took Welsh as a first language at GCSE, although he claims to have forgotten the majority of it now! Tim moved to Nottingham at the age of 16 and became an avid Nottingham Forest fan, holding a season ticket for the club. Due to his heritage, he also follows Welsh rugby. Tim embarked upon a ten-year long career as a professional golfer before changing his ways and joining the IT world.
He has worked in the IT field as a salesperson for many years. Focusing on providing local government and healthcare sectors with IT services, he has a very broad knowledge in IT security technologies and an in depth knowledge of Public Sector IT procurement.
He joins Celerity with the aim of being a more specialised salesperson, focusing on technologies and solutions that can either transform or complement a Public Sector organisation’s IT environment and make it more efficient. “All too often we hear of the 70/30 rule in IT, relating to time and cost spent ‘keeping the lights’ on vs working proactively on moving your IT Infrastructure forwards to support a business of today rather than the 2000’s”, commented Tim, “with Celerity’s offering and proven track record I believe we can shift this ratio in the opposite direction.”
Tim’s experience and versatile knowledge will be valuable in helping Celerity continue to deliver successful solutions to customers. James Green, Celerity’s Sales Manager added, “we are delighted to have Tim on board as a senior member of the sales team, Tim brings with him a wealth of experience in both Public and Commercial sector engagements, he will be focused on delivering the value of Celerity’s strong portfolio of solutions to the marketplace.”
