New Business - IT Managed Services Sales



You are an experienced new business hunter with results that demonstrate a track record of new logo success. Tenacious and driven, you use your network and black book to over achieve, repeatedly. You use social media to drive business. You have previously sold ”as a service”, or managed security solutions.

Job Purpose

Overview of job purpose… You’ll help us drive business growth by…

  • Hunting and developing opportunities across the UK
  • Identifying and qualifying managed services opportunities ideally along with enterprise compute and storage opportunities for Celerity
  • Building relationships and establishing communications at the highest executive levels in your prospect accounts to understand their needs and priorities.
  • Confirm and communicate the differentiated value of Celerity to the customer at both the technical and business levels
  • Understanding the formal and informal buying process in the customer's environment
  • Identifying the customer approvers, decision makers, and influencers, and develop strategies for each to mitigate risk and increase deal confidence
  • Taking a core role in the closing process including negotiations and procurement activities
  • Consistently communicating and brainstorming with extended team around all aspects of account and opportunity development


Proven, demonstrably successful track record in repeatedly meeting or exceeding quota and performance targets with a minimum 5 years experience in more than one of the below:

    • Security as a service – Threat detect, managed firewall, patch management, managed encryption, SIEM.
    • Data visualisation – monitoring, intelligent automation
    • Infrastructure/Platform as a service
    • DR/Backup as a Service
    • Managed Service
    • BAAS
    • DRAAS
    • Full UK driving licence

Beneficial but not Essential

  • Enterprise Hardware (Storage, server, mainframe etc) 5+ years and a demonstrated track-record of consistently meeting or exceeding annual quota and performance targets.
  • Experience in selling Pure and Nutanix
  • Experience of dealing with Tier 1 vendors (IBM, Dell EMC, Microsoft, Cisco) and working closely with vendor sales teams
  • Experience of Enterprise class compute and storage, and Software defined storage
  • Experience in verticals may include Finance, Utilities, Systems Integrators, Media, Public Sector
  • Experience of working with distribution – Arrow and Techdata
